Have you fantasized that to escape to a place in which you admire nature to the point where it makes you gasp? Sabana de Torres, a beautiful town in Santander, Colombia, is surrounded by oil palm plantations and incredible wildlife. If you enjoy nature and Colombia’s rich culture, you will definitely want to visit this destination. I once considered small towns boring, but this whole place changed my mind.

Be sure to catch sight of the Sogamoso River, where you can sit on the banks and enjoy birdwatching. Check out the wetlands close to the town, which are home to caimans, monkeys, and hundreds of kinds of birds. Spend your time in the palm groves, enjoying the quiet countryside as you stroll beneath the palm trees. This is where you’ll see wildlife that is as spectacular as you’ll find anywhere else in Colombia.
